Ah, spring. The weather starts getting milder, the sun is out more, and guys are getting hornier each day. I am working with several guys at the moment to bring them onto the site, and you can expect some announcements in the next week. I anticipate 3 or 4 new guys to be added my mid May.
This is a good time to discuss recent events and give you some perspective on the guys and what it takes to actually be a cam guy. Believe me when I say that the frustrations of technical problems, personal issues and personality conflicts MAKE ME CRAZY. I know the pain, and I always try to keep those frustrations to a minimum. Those frustrations are only multiplied when 10 or 20 guys are watching a live show and something goes haywire.
In the 9 years I’ve been doing this, there are always guys that love the idea of showing off on cam, and then when they get into it, they change their minds. They discover that their computer or internet connection aren’t able to handle it, they get a boyfriend or girlfriend, they go off to college, they have familiy issues, they have health issues, they are just typical guys that have problems that arise in their lives like everyone else. Every guy is unique, and so its difficult to pre-screen for the hundreds of possible problems that might arise. I try to get an idea at the outset, but sometimes my intuition fails me, and we have some false starts.
April brought about a series of unfortunate events, that pretty much ran the full range. While I do everything possible to address the issues quickly, I also give everyone the benefit of the doubt and a second chance. At some point, its usually best to just clean house and get rid of problems that cause more frustration than enjoyment.
I don’t want to diminish any guy that has ever had the balls to put it all out there on cam. It takes a lot of guts to do what they do, and even if it is for a couple weeks or a month, each show is special, and each guy deserves a lot of credit for giving it a shot. The younger the guy, the shorter the attention span, and time devoted to being a cam guy. I usually don’t discuss reasons for someone who leaves the site, usually it is a personal choice or decision that can and should remain private. I know questions are asked, but sometimes there just isn’t an easy answer.
So as guys choose to leave, new guys are added. Its a cycle that has taken place for the past 9 years, and will continue to take place for the next 9 years. In most cases it is one or two guys each month that come and go, in this past few weeks, it has been a little more dramatic. So, the circle of webcam life evolves.
I learn lessons about people with each new guy that joins the team. I learn new questions to ask, new technical tricks to fix problems, and get to bring some truly interesting and unique guys on board. Please know and understand that I would like nothing better than to have 10 or 12 guys that will be on the site for 3 or 4 years each, with 100% problem free live shows. Well, that ain’t going to happen. LOL
Keep an eye on the calendar, keep checking back here for new guy announcements, and thank you for your patience and your continued support. Your partipation in live shows is always appreciated, and the guys depend on your help in chat to let them know what you want to see. New guys are always looking for direction and encouragement, so you’ll most likely be called upon to help the new guys out.
